“Ella Kate started out small…but then she grew and grew and grew until she was eight feet tall!”
This fictionalized account is of the life of Ella Kate Ewing, 1872-1913, who was eight feet tall by the age of seventeen. Ella Kate became financially independent by traveling the country for nearly twenty years appearing in museums, exhibitions, and in circus shows. She was hired by the famous P.T. Barnum. An author’s note explains Ella Kate’s condition and provides a photograph of her.
