Eensy Weensy Spider Freaks Out!

What a fun book for a story time! Every child knows the eensy-weensy spider or the itsy bitsy spider by the time she/he is about three. Now Troy Cummings, a man whose artwork has appeared on frozen fish stick packages, has broken out of the waterspout and created a life for our friend the smallish spider. I mean, how many times can you take getting washed out of that waterspout. It's downright discouraging. You climb up and then it rains and you get washed out and the sun comes out and then you climb up again and then well, we all know what happens then. But at long last, our spider says no more climbing up the spout. Nope. That's it. She's had it. She gives up the whole climbing up thing until her friend, a ladybug, comes by with some wonderful encouragement. If you just take the first step and try something a bit easier, you'll get your gumption back and you can go forth to conquer the world. Does it really work like that? Yep, it really does. Just start with one foot on a flower pot and pretty soon you're a few inches off the ground and then you find you can climb tall buildings and even rocket out into space.
