Librarian From the Black Lagoon

The class is about to take its first trip to the media center and stories are circulating about the librarian, otherwise known as 'the Laminator.' If you talk in the library, she'll laminate you. Yep, you better be on your best behavior because that lady is weird and you're probably in danger. Have you seen her assistant, Igor? There's a piece of work. You can't do anything in this library. You have to be decontaminated and put on a hairnet just to be allowed to go inside. (Hmmm'.maybe that isn't a bad idea. Sorry, just a little librarian humor there.) This is a great read aloud for storytime or for the first visit to the media center when school starts.
