Friday Barnes was an unexpected fifth child. Her scientist parents really hadn't planned on her arrival but they managed to squeeze her in on a Friday and that's how she got her name.

Friday figured out early in life that going unnoticed was a wise plan.  On Thursday nights her Uncle Bernie came to babysit her.  The two watched commercial tv and ate pizza...neither endorsed by her parents.

One day Bernie showed up and Friday could tell something was really upsetting him.  When she asked him he explained that his boss at work was upset because their company was about to lose millions over a stolen diamond.  Friday instantly demanded to see the bank video footage and in short order she had her man...she figured out who had stolen the diamond just using the clues from the video.

Using the reward money she enrolled herself in boarding school  and quickly discovered her true calling as a private detective.

Stolen homework, teachers with practiced smiles, and a yeti are the cases that come her way but a boy named Ian may be her biggest challenge.
