Saxby Smart Private Detective: The Pirate's Blood

Saxby Smart is a schoolboy private detective who likes to solve any mystery he can find. His office is in the garden shed in his backyard where he has his thinking chair to help him solve his crimes.

Saxby invites readers to help him solve his mysteries by following the clues and what he has written in his notebook.

This book includes three case files –The Pirate’s Blood, The Mystery of Mary Rogers, and the Lunchbox of Notre Dame.

Follow Saxby as he investigates a pirate’s mysterious treasure, an arson fire set in his favorite bookstore and the disappearance of a memory card from the schools camera while on a school trip to Paris. Saxby gets help from Izzy the Official Queen of research and Muddy the Official King of Gadgets to help solve his crimes.

If you like solving crimes this series is just for you. The reader is given chances and clues to help solve the crime. Can you solve it before Saxby Smart?

Librarian's note: I worked in the elementary library for about 8 years and I could see this book being checked out all of the time. I think it would be great for either boys or girls and would be great for reluctant readers. I like how they interact with the readers on solving the crimes. I would definitely recommend it to many different students.
