Gabby and Gator

Gabby wakes up every morning with a frown on her face and a to-do list that's seven items long. The last item is "Find Someone Who Will Accept Me For Who I Am." Oh she flosses and reads and takes care of the routine chores but then her day begins and she sets out to check off her list. Meanwhile a small alligator has come home to a young boy's house to be his new favorite pet. That lasts about five minutes until his mother notices and demands that the gator be flushed down the toilet. Now Gabby heads out to garden, play her tuba and swim and finds herself bullied and belittled by kids who make fun of her quiet ways and anything else that crosses their small minds at the time. The gator takes up living in a sewer pipe and gains a reputation for viciousness. Many a pet goes missing due to the gator's bottomless pit of a stomach which tends to growl -and loudly- and sends him in search of his next meal. The two paths will meet of course and they do in a very timely manner involving a very surprised bully who finds himself on the bad end of an alligator's smile. Now for the friendship. Will these two very different critters be able to find common ground? Will they play together? Will Gabby at long last get to check off item number seven on her list? Or will she become item number seven on his menu? The alligator's feet are just small enough and his mouth is just large enough to make him cute as can be and Gabby is feisty and open to accepting and caring about her new friend....but they will have to work on that eating problem.
