A Book and a Hug

Atlantis Lost (Atlantis Saga, Book 3)

Flowers, trees, rivers, streams, the blue skies and the air we breathe shine, glow and flourish on the magical island of Atlantis. The natural world has reached a place in its evolution that is nearly out of the reach of our imaginations.  But the rich imagination of T.A.Barron creates a world of wonders for us to consider and bring into our own mind's eye.

The world of Atlantis is an astonishing setting with an intensity that matches the explosive significance of the essential message that is the treasure waiting here in this story.

Atlanta on Moss Island hears the hints of danger as Shangri and Lorno make their way in search of her help. A monster of indescribable powers has emerged from a pit and is invading the world, consuming man and machine to satiate its enormous appetite.

What might be lost if this monster is not stopped?  Atlantis may perish. Its starstone may be the spoils of this Great War.

So where are the heroes who will stand up to face this greedy,  seemingly invincible monster?  Will they see him in time?  Will they act together to stop his relentless march of consumption?

In a magical land where every facet of nature is heightened and illuminated, the ultimate magic awaits.  Someone needs to shine light in the minds cluttered with darkness to bring that magic forward before the island we call Earth surrenders itself and becomes a place where Nature no longer surrounds us and is no longer the foremost presence that connects us back to our truest selves.

The descriptions of this fragile, vulnerable natural world are simply exquisite and provide a beautiful receptacle for the noble battle being fought by  Atlanta and Promi as they face the darkest of forces.  Preserving our environment, discovering the real value of life, and being willing to stand up for what you believe are told in a gorgeous metaphorical adventure.
