Every night since Jack took Nikki’s place in the Tunnels he has visited her inher dreams. She knows that the link will grow weaker the longer he is in the Tunnels until one night he will be gone and will be beyond saving. Knowing she has limited time to find him and bring him back Nikki finds Cole and begs for his help. Cole is the one person/Everliving who can possibly take her to Jack. The only way to Jack though is through the labyrinth of 3rings; the Ring of Water, the Ring of Wind and the Ring of Fire all of them attacking her mind and her emotions.
After his time with Nikki, Cole has changed in ways he never thought he would. He loves her but Nikki is in love with Jack. If he helps Nikki he can keep her alive and then there is still hope she will agree to become an Everliving and the Queen.
As wary allies Cole and Nikki agree to face the perils of the labrynthine landscape guarding the entrance of the Tunnels to get to Jack.
This book is one adventure after another with a quick pace that will keep the readers intrigued and reading, and leaving them wanting the third and final book in the trilogy.
