Snake Hair is written for the Level 2 Reader in The All Aboard Reading series. The short sentences and larger size text are appropriate for the beginning level reader. The shortened version of the Medusa myth attracts all audiences.
The clear and simple collage illustrations by illustrator, Susan Swan, blend the easy reading level and the story together well. Through the paper cutting techniques, Swan puts depth into the illustrations, using textured papers and layers. The pictures are as exciting as the adventure.
Like all good stories, Snake Hair rears up to be read again and again.
